The brief
The logistics company needed to increase driver security at the depot and also whilst out on delivery. The solution needed to be reliable and scalable so that it could be rolled out to all UK delivery drivers and enhance security at each of the 84 local depot locations.
Challenges
The logistics company required an ID card printing solution that could be scaled up and deployed to each of their UK depots including a wide range of printer ribbons capable of printing a high-quality colour portrait. In addition, the project also required the printer to be robust, easy-to-use and require minimal maintenance.
Solution
Through its local UK partner, cards X, the appropriate ID card printer was identified to meet
the specifications, with the ability to be scaled and upgraded if required. Matica’s MC210 and MC310 were offered as the perfect solution due to their capability for high-quality colour printing along with the durability provided by their robust metal chassis.
“I chose to work with Matica card printers and cards-x from the first meeting because I believed they could deliver what we required. They were knowledgeable and if they didn’t know the answer they would go away and find the answer. This happened the whole way through the project, so trust was built, which of course is a big thing for projects like this.”
